POWER OF PRAYER

UPDATE: It is now 9-27-18 and the same thing has happened every year, only now I am armed with knowledge about narcissism and understand. Still sad...still wrong...but at least I understand. I wish he did.

I had just given up on him; sending his birthday card because it felt right even though he hasn't had contact since my last attempt in July. Came upon this prayer right after I texted him to double check his address (even though I know she will destroy the card if she gets there first...or pretend it didn't come).
This prayer was posted on Facebook:

Lord, if it is not your will, let it slip through my grasp 

and give me the peace not to worry about it.

Right after I realized this was the truth and I had to follow, he called! I could tell he felt badly about neglecting me.

Thank you, Lord... 

THE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW

His betrothed taps into his darkest nature...the only one he got tired of keeping hidden. Ah, yes, that explains it. 

  The mother (in-law) let go for eight years, relaxed, went with the flow and it got her eliminated from their lives. She is finished with faith; she instinctively knew the daughter-in-law, but buried her head in the mud. Although she abhors labels, the rejected woman knows her daughter-in-law is a narcissist, and will ruin all around her that do not give in to her whims and fantasies.

 


















She was an afterthought, a coda...barely a blip on her children's radar--an inconsequential part of of their lives...an unnecessary appendage. STOP! Pity parties are not pretty. Can we blame her?

This wasn't how she expected her story to play out...to the bitter end...so she couldn't let those closest to her make it so. It is within her power to...to do what, exactly?
